The central environmental laboratory at the faculty of science holds a symposium on “environment and contamination of food”


The central environmental laboratory at the faculty of science, Baghdad University organized a scientific symposium under the title (environment and contamination of food) in the presence of the dean and a number of professors and students. This event came for counseling and improving the awareness of people concerning how to eat natural and healthy foods such as containing fruit and vegetables and shedding light on genetically modified or manufactured food, canned preservatives added that might harm health. The symposium pointed out to the need for promoting domestic investment and farming to protect consumers from depending on imported food as well as raising the awareness of farmers towards how to benefit from varieties of organic fertilizers and chemicals.
