Delegation of Indonesian embassy hosted by the faculty of law


Faculty of law at Baghdad University received the delegation of the Indonesian embassy in Iraq where the dean of the college, assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mutasher Abdul Sahib with his assistants met the delegation and discussed the prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two sides. This delegation included the ambassador of the republic of Indonesia Bambang Antarikso, Consul Ain al-Rifki Madani, Commissioner of the national human rights commission of Indonesia, Professor Dr. Hafiz Abbas and a number of embassy employees. During this meeting, human rights issues in Islamic States were discussed where the dean stated that the faculty of  law school is the first one that taught human rights in its curriculum also praised the role of the professors in providing studies, papers, seminars and courses for the benefit of all State institutions in this area.  The ambassador of the republic of Indonesia assured the deep culture of the Iraqi people and its interest in the legal field since ancient times. Commissioner of the national human rights commission of Indonesia, Dr. Abbas recommended to create an Islamic center for human rights issues in Islamic states and before the end of the visit, the dean of the college dedicated the shield of the college to the guests as an expression of appreciation and his willingness to collaborate and communicate to spread the culture of human rights in all Islamic countries.
