Two instructors from the faculty of engineering publish a research in global journal

Prof. Dr. Ayad Abdul Hamza Faisal and teacher Dr. Ziad Tariq Abd Ali, instructors at the department of environmental engineering/faculty of engineering/University of Baghdad published a joint research in a global journal within the classification of Thomson Reuters. This research studied the possibility and the use of dead biomass in effective barrier technology which is a promising innovation technology in groundwater contaminated by lead ion and organic phenol compound. The study included study of intermittent push under different operational conditions such as uptime, adsorbent dose, pH, concentration of primary contaminants and mixing speed. Experiments were carried out on lead ions and phenol separately then they were mixed together in a process of elimination, where six models of balance were applied on the results in case of elimination and three models were applied in the case of mixing the two polluters, also “COSMOL” model was used in this experiment. These instructors were granted a letter of thanks from University president, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein.
