Faculty of physical education and sport science at University of Baghdad participated in the 2nd marathon of peace and love sponsored by the Iraqi Athletics Federation with the participation of (24) Arab and foreign countries where a number of teaching faculty were chosen as referees. The marathon started from Abbas Ibn Firnas statue at Baghdad international airport (21 km) to Shahriyar statue at Abu Noas Street with a group of students who participated in the second contest and run for 8 kilometers back and forth in Abu Noas Street. The participating students were honored with medals in recognition of their efforts in supporting women’s sports in Iraq.
