A patent by Cancer for cancer research gets three golden international awards in medicine and healthcare


Pioneer national center for cancer research at University of Baghdad in Iraq won three gold international awards along with diploma degrees in medicine and healthcare competence for participation in the European Observatory of Creativity and Innovation in Romania. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Mizil specialized in genetic engineering submitted his paper in early detection of cervical cancer in the presence of Assistant Prof. Dr. Ismail Aziz Hussein, director of genetic health unit and director of the center Prof. Dr. Nada Abdul Sahib al-Alwan. The conference was held with the participation of (37) countries from various countries and (450) inventors from Iraq and Egypt. The Iraqi patent was entitled (development of an innovative method for molecular detection of cervical cancer using micro parameters of Bax gene) that was regarded as the best patent and won three golden world awards submitted by the research team: Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Dr. Nada al-Alwan, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ismail Hussein, Prof. Dr. Maad Shalal. The researches were granted letters of thanks and appreciation by the Rector of University of Baghdad for their efforts made in raising Iraq’s name in the field of scientific research.
