Department of journalism at the college of media, University of Baghdad introduced a new mechanism to discuss graduation papers that would be submitted by the students of the fourth stage during the annual plan for the new academic year (2017-2018). Head of department, Assis. Prof. Dr. Shukria Kawkaz al-Sarraj stated that it was determined that the next March would be the date for the delivery of graduation papers to be sorted by a committee for this purpose chaired by Assis. Prof. Dr. Hamdan Khider al-Salim. It was agreed during the meeting that subcommittees are to be composed wach one of three members where the grades will be distributed as follows: 20 degrees for the supervisor and 15 degrees per member. It is worth mentioned that this procedure is applied for the first time in this department to emphasize the importance of science as well as to guide students for using concepts and scientific research methods in this area. Prof. Dr. Shukria Kawkaz al-Sarraj asserted that the results in this regard will be announced at the annual festival scheduled for late April 2018.
