University of Baghdad participates in the 9th national conference against violence against women


Center for women’s studies at University of Baghdad participated in the annual Islamic day conference against violence against women held at the office of Sayed Ammar al-Hakeem under the slogan “woman as a homeland” attended by the speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Dr. Saleem al-Jabouri and a number of official and diplomatic personalities. The center’s participation represented by the a delegation including the director of the center Prof. Dr. Siham Mutasher al-kaabi accompanied by Dr. Maison Ali Abdul Hadi and Dr. Amina Mohammed Ali who delivered lectures and made valuable scientific interventions that enriched this event through their objectives and recommendations. Sayed Ammar al-Hakeem stated that “in this glorious year, we have freed our women from the lords of terror and deviance by the bravery of our women and their efforts and sacrifices since the conscious and impatient women are the foundation of societies” and he concluded by addressing women: “your role is great at this stage, as it has always been at all stages and Iraqi Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen, Muslim, Christian and Izidi women are the most important bases for ensuring the unity of our homeland and for building the bonds of common living”.
