Abstract

This invention aims to build a system for the deposition of metal / polymers nanocomposite thin films, with a high uniformity using cold plasma jet operates at atmospheric pressure. This system is consist of two parts the first one, the plasma-generating source and the second one for thin films deposition this part consisting of, container, mechanical parts for moving the substrate, and a nebulized with its accessories, such as Ar gas  ,gas flow meatier and controller . Metal / polymers nanocomposite thin films where deposited in order to test the system. This system operates on in-situ plasma polymerization. The deposition of metal / polymers nanocomposite thin films, are based on the formation of aerosols from Monomer and nanoparticles using the nebulized which manufactured for this purpose. The aerosols were converted into thin films, which deposited on the substrate by in-situ plasma polymerization. The metal / polymers nanocomposite thin films were prepared with 4 and 5% silver weight concentration on glass substrate. The thin films thicknesses and its homogenate were determined by swanepole method, with the help of transmittancespectrum. The prepared thin films have shown a high degree of homogeneity high thickness uniformity which are understood from the transmittancespectrum. The optical constants for the prepared thin films were measured, and it shows a highdegree of compatibility with traditional methods. From this can be concluded the possibility to use the innovative system for deposition of metal / polymers nanocomposite thin films with high thickness uniformity, and can be measurement its optical constants using swanepolmethod.
