The colleges of sciences and agriculture at the university of Baghdad gain numerous awards in Kuwait’ exhibition of Inventions

The college of sciences at the university of Baghdad gained the bronze medal in the sixth scientific exhibition of inventions in the middle East for the year 2013 for its invention entitled “nuclear early warning system” submitted by Dr. Shaker Shafiq, a master’s student Naseer Arif Ahmed and Dr. Mahdi Hadi Jassim. The award was received, on behalf of the working team, by Naseer Arif Ahmed from Mr. Iyad Al-Kharafi, director of the Kuwait science club and the representative of the Geneva organization in Kuwait. Also a number of researchers from the college of agriculture at the university of Baghdad participated in this exhibition. Prof. Dr. Hazim Jabbar al-Darraji gained the silver medal for a patent entitled ” a new technique for freezing the birds’ semen”. The researchers prof. Dr. Hazim Jabbar al-Darraji, Dr. Hisham Ahmed Saleh al-Mashhadani, Dr. Walid Khaled Abdel-Latif Alhayani, Mr. Ali Sabah Ali al-Hassani and Mr. Asad Muhammad gained the bronze medal for a patent entitled “artificial insemination in pigeons”. A patent entitled “manufacturing an enhanced vital fluid”  by the researchers prof. Dr. Saad Naji Abdul Hussain, Dr. Bushra Saadi, Dr. Ammar Talib and Dr. Shlaimon Hanna gained the bronze medal. On the other hand, the basketball team of the college of sciences qualified to the finals after beating the team of the college of Political Sciences (14 – 0), in addition to beating the team of the college of agriculture ( 14-4 ).
