Isolating isotopes Dichloride of Benzene by melted and assembled crystal

ABSTRACT

Crystalization has been used to isolate isotopes dichloride of Benzene (para & otho) from a mixture resulting from dichloride of Benzene reaction which consists of 70% para and 30% ortho by using crystallization device containing surfaces and rotary blender .The process of isolation has been done according to two steps:

1 – Melting crystal that obtaining many crystal (para) leaving the mother liquor (Eutectic).
2 – Assembled crystal where para Nitro chloride Benzene has been added to break Eutectic para and ortho dichloride of Benzene to get ortho centralized liquor.

After that vacuum distillation has been done to regain assembled crystallization factor (para Nitro Chloride of Benzene out of the final stages to reuse them.
