Producing methyl ethyl ketone Acetone from Iraqi Cooking gas

ABSTRACT

Producing methyl ethyl   ketone Acetone from Iraqi cooking gas (LPG) under air pressure conditions. The process includes the following steps:

1. Isolating hydrogen out of Iraqi cooking gas to produce olefins, basically including Brobeen and Beau teen
2. Producing alcohol ate from olefins by :
(a) Absorbing olefins by using solphatic to produce olefinic solphate
(b) Hydrolysis of soleplate resulting to produce  alcohol ate ,including Azobroal butyl and then isolating alcohol ate.
3. Isolating hydrogen out of alcohol late to produce (Ketones) isolating hydrogen out of Aazobroal (alcohol to produce Acetone and from  alcohol butyl to produce methyl ethyl ketone. It has been found that the optimal condition to isolate hydrogen from alcohol by using zinc oxide as a useful factor with a temperature about 400 m and speed amounts to 74,4 per hour .The productivity can be counted according to 92,84% (mole rate) for methyl ethyl  ketone and Acetone respectively .A plan has been conducted to productive units and balancing accounts have been carried out for each unit .It has been found that each one ton of Iraqi cooking gas produces 395 kg from methyl ethyl  ketone and 143kg of Acetone and 365 kg of Tri-butyl alcohol.
