Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering holds a seminar for graduate m.a students

The department of manufacturing engineering at al-Khwarizmi college of engineering held a seminar for graduate m.a students at the hall of graduate studies with the presence of assistant prof.Dr. Ali Kadhim Hussein, Dr. Hamid Saleh Mahdi and Dr. Karim Neimaa Salumi where the m.a students’ researches were reviewed in the practical field, listening to some observations made by students and supervisors. The following are the names of graduate students, their research topics and the supervisors:
1 – Sahar Yousef Aziz: (Improving the protection of oil equipment by nano-packaging). The aim of the research is (industrial – oil applications) and developing engineering equipment used in oil industry. The research is significant in the development of oil industry and supporting the Iraqi national economy since it addresses the serious problems that face oil industry, giving appropriate solutions for problems such as the corrosion of metals and low – cost steel whose mechanical properties and corrosion resistance can be improved and packaged by nano-powders and other modern techniques.
2 – Basma Luay Mehdi: (The effect of the dimensions of the magnetic system on the quality of the surface by smoothing magnet) under the supervision of assistant prof. Dr. Ali Kadhim Hussein. The research studies the form of the magnetic system and calculating the magnetic flux lines with the existence of several variables. The research aims at supporting the industrial sector and the ministry of electricity.
3 – Ali Hussein: (Studying the tool path for operating the standard facts used in shapes of engineering sines) supervised by assistant prof. Dr. Ahmed Zeidan Mohammed. This research comes within the joint program between Al-Khwarizmi college of engineering at the university of Baghdad and Cranfield university, UK under joint supervision by a. prof. Dr. Ahmed Zeidan Mohammed and Dr. John. This search is one of five researches that had been agreed upon with Cranfield university and sponsored by the ministry of higher education and scientific research to pave the way for establishing a twinning with Cranfield university that opens future prospects for the university of Baghdad to raise in line with the international universities.
