The university of Baghdad inaugurates the first scientific laboratory of its kind at the college of veterinary medicine

Prof. Dr. Fouad Qassim Mohammad, deputy minister of higher education and scientific research at the college of veterinary medicine inaugurated a scientific laboratory specialist in the branch of surgery and obstetrics in the department of veterinarian obstetrics which is one of the modern laboratories to study modern techniques in external fertilization, transfer of embryos, production of frozen embryos since the laboratory includes many devices from international origins specialized in this field. It is considered as the basic block to open future prospects in bio – genic technology and the scientific cooperation with the ministry of agriculture and the center for artificial insemination at Abu Ghraib for the purpose of producing frozen embryos of cows and generalization of this experience to the fields of farmers and breeders which aims to improve the type of cows. Under the slogan: (taking care of the health and the productivity of farm animals), the dean of the college of veterinary medicine, prof. Dr. Bara Najim Abdullah accompanied by a delegation of professors of the college participated in the 2nd scientific conference at the university of Kufa that included themes such as basic veterinary science, applied veterinary science, poultry and fish diseases, veterinary surgery and obstetrics. The faculty of veterinary medicine at the university of Baghdad participated actively in many applied scientific researches that enriched the conference. On the other hand, the dean, prof. Dr. Bara Najim Abdullah received editor in chief of the journal of reconstruction of Iraq, prof. Iyad Fadhil al-Azzawi and made an introductory tour with his guest to keep abreast of the reconstruction campaigns taking place at the college of veterinary medicine.
