President of the university of Baghdad visits the center for revival of heritage, confirming his support for its scientific and academic advancement

President of the university of Baghdad, prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussein visited the center for Arab scientific heritage revival as part of a series of his tours to find out the most important educational and research institutions’ needs and ways to improve and develop them. He was accompanied by the center’s director, assistant prof. Dr Abdullah al-Atabi, meeting instructors and members, listening to their views and suggestions, problems and ways to overcome them so that to upgrade this scientific edifice in Iraq. This center is one of the documentary centers providing manuscripts, books, art materials about the history of the Arab and Islamic nation. Since the university of Baghdad is the mother of universities in Iraq pioneered in promoting studies of heritage, founded in 1977 and began its work on 12/2/1977. It achieved good steps to achieve its objectives, improving links among researchers, holding seminars and specialized courses, acting as a cultural bridge between the university of Baghdad and various scientific centers of the world.
