College of pharmacy holds a course on veterinary drugs industry


The department of of pharmaceutics in collaboration with the continuing education Unit at the college of pharmacy, university of Baghdad held a specialized course entitled “veterinary drugs industry” as part of a series of symposiums hosted by the college to keep abreast of the pharmaceutical developments in the world.  The course included several researches and studies such as: “GMP specifications of production halls quality control laboratories” by Dr. Nawal Ayyash Rajab, and “the study of availability and bio-equivalence of veterinary drugs according to U.S. constitution of drugs” by assistant professor Dr. Jafar Jaber Ibrahim, “the manufacture of veterinary medicines as liquid” by Dr. Muafaq Mohammed Gharib,”the manufacture of veterinary medicines as syrup” by Dr. Intithar Jassim, “the manufacture of veterinary medicines as suppositories” by Dr. Shaima Nizar Abdul Hameed, “the manufacture of veterinary medicines as ointments and cream” by Dr. Hanan Jalal Kassab, “the manufacture of veterinary medicines as tablets and capsules, by the instructor Lubna Abdul Karim. At the end, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants who praised the lectures and the information provided, confirming on applying them in pharmacy and veterinary pharmaceutical industry. The department of pharmaceutics at the college of pharmacy is working to develop veterinary drugs with the minimum side effects and it includes scientific laboratories for industrial, technological, physical and biological pharmacy and it grants higher diploma, master and Ph.D in the philosophy of pharmaceutics for graduate students.
