President of the university of Baghdad blesses the beginning of the new academic year and announces the university advanced rank in the global QS


College of mass communication at the university of Baghdad hosted the president of the university, professor Alaa Abdul Hussein in a live radio interview during the program entitled “echo of Baghdad university” to deliver a speech to students and instructors on the occasion of start of the new academic year. In the meeting, the president of the university congratulated the graduate students in the 57th session called “peace and development” and he wished them success in their careers after graduation and hoped they would contribute in building, reconstruction and development of Iraq, noting that the celebration of this year was very special and full of joy. He stressed that the students should commit and abide by the rules and instructions issued by the ministry of higher education and scientific research such as the university uniforms and maintain cleanliness and public property, and directed those concerned to complete preparations for the start of the new academic year for the morning and the evening studies, including student clubs and other offices.In this interview, the university president hinted to the new global advanced ranking achieved acquired recently in (QS) and (Webometrics) classifications. Also he stated that the university had taken important steps to address the problem of traffic congestion within the university, particularly after the transfer of the faculties of veterinary medicine and agriculture to the Jadiriyah complex, calling on the students to minimize bringing their own vehicles, adding that the university had provided buses inside the campus to facilitate the transfer of students and members. He announced that the end of this week would witness declaring the results of the graduate studies via the website of the university of Baghdad. At the end of the meeting, prof. Alaa wished Abdul Hussein wished a successful year for university students. The visit included a tour in the radio and television studios at the college. This program “echo of Baghdad university” is broadcasted on the frequency (105.7 FM) produced by the media and public relations department at the university presidency, prepared and presented by the instructor Zaid Salem, supervised by Dr. Muaed Abdul Jabbar.
