Selection of Ph.D thesis from the university of Baghdad discovered a drug for leukemia to be published by an international publishing house

A book authored by Dr. Laila Mohammed Hassan al – Amri was issued by LAMBERT academic publishing house entitled “The effects of irradiation on the expression of heat shock proteins in leukemia cells: line cell” which is extracted from a Ph.D thesis by the same author submitted to the laser institute for postgraduate studies at the university of Baghdad supervised by prof. Dr. Ali Hussein and assistant professor Dr. Amal Mustaffa Maki. Part of this research was carried out in Manchester Metropolitan university, England where the researcher found out a new way for treatment of leukemia by low-rate laser by stopping the path of expression of shock proteins genes that have a key role in resisting cancer cell in any treatment whether chemical or radioactive. The researcher pointed out the result of her research in a statement issued by the institute and received a notification of by the university of Baghdad and calling the university, ministries and the governmental departments concerned to provide more support for the development of research and adoption of this drug through import of devices and preparation of necessary laboratories to support researches for the benefit of the public. Previously the researcher published two papers in international journals of impact factor. It is worth mentioned that Dr. Laila al-Amri had M.A and Ph.D from the laser institute for postgraduate studies at Baghdad university and she is working in the biological research unit of warm regions at the college of science.
