Parapsychology is a scientific study of mental cognition or the effects on physical objects without direct contact or by well-known means. Parapsychology as a term is composed of two parts (para) which means near, next to or beyond, the second part is (psychology) and in the Arab world is called supernatural, science of spiritual abilities, sixth sense psychology, but it retained its name for lack of agreement on a unified Arabic name. The German philosopher, Max Dessuar was the first scientist who used this term in 1889 to refer to the scientific study of over sensory cognition and psychological (spiritual) movement and other phenomena concerned. Its labels were variant such as (psych) and it studies topics like telepathy, forecasting, visual evacuation, hospitalization, moving objects, magnetic hypnotherapy, out of body experience and others. The method used by this science is the modern scientific approach with a bit of development required by the nature of the studied phenomenon.
