University of Baghdad organizes its 4th forum of e-learning with the participation of several companies and specialized international offices

  Center for development and continuing education at the university of Baghdad organized its 4th forum of e-learning in the presence of the university president, prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein and with the participation of several ministries and state institutions, universities, international companies specialized in e-learning under the slogan “with experiments and applications, we enhance the university e-learning”. Director of the center, Dr. Muhannad Kazem Saber, delivered the opening speech of the forum stating that “we meet today in this scientific electronic gathering in a time that our country faces an exceptional stage when fighting the terrorist groups (Daash) and achieving triumphs recorded by our heroic fighters from the security forces and the sons of the brave popular crowd, coinciding with the university of Baghdad’ active presence to develop e-learning capabilities, through the development of a specialist system in agreement with the best global companies to receive and train personnel from various state institutions. The forum aims at contribution in formation of an interactive learning environment that motivates learning, creativity, and skill development, as well as strengthening the capacities of communication, knowledge exchange and dissemination of e-learning culture via the optimal investment of technology and to inflame the spirit of competition in providing innovative solutions for e-learning. The forum witnessed the participation of several international companies, state departments and offices in public and private sectors, through presenting several researches and studies in the field of e-learning development, professors and researchers from inside and outside Iraq, including the participation of Dr. Sabah Mohammed Kalo from the department of information studies at sultan Qaboos university, sultanate of Oman. Practical applications of e-learning, experiments of colleges and universities, social media networks and their impact on e-learning, modern e-learning methods and private sector experiments in this field are the most prevailing topics that were addressed. On the sidelines of this forum, a specialized workshop was held entitled “infrastructure of global reliability of e-learning system”, as well as an exhibition with the participation of companies, offices and other relevant departments, which presented various means of communication, information technology and modern electronic devices in the field of e-learning and modern teaching methods. The forum was attended by assistant professor Dr. Osama Abdul Latif Fadel, assistant of university president for academic affairs and a number of directors of university departments, students, researchers and professors
