Department of Arabic language at the college of arts, university of Baghdad held a symposium entitled (interactive literature and its impact on contemporary literature) to keep abreast with the international scientific and academic sides of contemporary literature and investment of its technologies. The rapporteur of the cultural committee at the department of Arabic language, assistant professor Dr. help Arij Kanaan Hammoudi stated in her speech delivered at the beginning of the symposium that “investment of electronic technologies in the creative space is important since it creates a field in which text, image and color move in order to stimulate the imagination of the receiver”. In a lecture by professor Dr. Ayad Ibrahim al-Bawi from the college of arts, al-Mustansiriyah university entitled (digital interactive literature) that dealt with the interactive features of the literary text from its beginnings to the mid of 80s of the last century that allows the recipient to navigate the web by following links, the variety, change and writing, particularly in text of multiple beginnings and endings. In this context, assistant professor Dr. Mohsen Ali Oraibi from the college of education for women, Baghdad university gave a lecturer on (the interactive concept in prosodic studies) where he presented text templates and he analyzed their prosody via a computerized program of Arabic language. Assistant professor Dr. Mohammed Shihab from the college of education for women at the university of Baghdad submitted a paper entitled (the reader’s shape in the new culture) in which he called for the establishment of a scientific conference to take advantage of the use of computer technologies in Arabic language, in addition to bridging the wide gap between traditional culture and the new digital culture by posting on webs and the nature of copyright and various readings of published scientific researches. At the end of the symposium, associate professor Dr. Ekhlas Mohammed, head of the cultural committee in the Arabic language department delivered the final declaration and the recommendations of the symposium, distributed certificates of appreciation from the deanery of the college of arts and head of department to the participants.
