President of the university of Baghdad, prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Abdul Rasool headed an expanded meeting of the council of quality assurance and university performance that was attended by the scientific assistant of the university president, assistant prof. Dr. Osama Abdul Latif, the administrative assistant, prof. Dr. Riyad Khalil and a number of department managers. The university president asserted that fact that our university continues its scientific achievements and upgrading, especially after obtaining advanced ranks locally, regionally and globally through gaining the first rank in “QS” world ranking for quality and winning three out of five stars to be in line of other advanced Arabic and European universities. The president pointed out in his speech that there is a lot of information and data in all scientific, administrative and research areas that should be used for developing our university ( mother of the Iraqi universities) and achieving its rival world upgrade, especially since it obtained the grade (651) this year after last year grade (107) in “QS”. At the end of the meeting, the rector expressed his thanks and appreciation for all the efforts dedicated to raise the scientific level of the university and the need to develop strategic visions and plans for the next stages.
